Another look at the COVID-19 Risk Differential

UPDATE: By request I’ve added Raw Counts to the bottom. You can see how the rates line up here with numbers of cases, admissions, and deaths.

In a twitter thread, I was asked to produce this chart.

Which I dutifully did. Well, the first chart had unique Y axis ranges for each chart, but I thought this gave a better picture.

And then I thought I should try this with Admissions as well

Wow… that’s kind of stark, how about Mortality?

Huh…. that’s. We’ll that’s a really good picture of differential risk. Consider this a resource to share.

Since I've got all the UK data from Report 36 in 2021 in a giant spreadsheet and can run Python, when someone asked for UK Case Rates by Vaccine status over time, it wasn't too hard to oblige. 1/

Cool, I'm a big fan of these charts over longer timeframes to make the trends clear. And I like that you kept the same scale y-axis for more intuitive comparisons!

A similar set of graphs with the raw totals would also be quite interesting?

Outstanding work again. I love the moving charts but as I am 46 years old and have been looking at static charts for so long, this series is easy to process. Awesome.
