last week at social security office, masks were obligatory. Luckily they had them because I did not. Most of us wore them under our nose and no one said a thing. As to the whole mess, if they had made ivermectin and hcq available not only would we have herd immunity there would also be lots less dead from the ventilators and the useless and very expensive meds. And the govt should not pay doctors and hospitals to put covid on a death certificate. Which makes the idea of a programmed outbreak inevitable.

Yeah my wife and daughter were required to wear one at a Dr office. Why are they the last holdouts of a failed intervention?

Because they have in essence become a cult. The cult of scientism. I lost a lot of respect for doctors these past few years and nothing since has occurred to change that. The fact that many couldn't see through the likes of Fauci should have been big warning signs. For the most part, we are on our own. The best thing to do these days is to obtain some older family health books, read through them regularly and keep as healthy as possible. The way some of them are, we might be marginally better off consulting witch-doctors.

And of course welcome back and as usual a very excellent article that strikes at the heart of the issue.

Welcome back! I agree with the sentiment but I don't think these maskers are very interested in actual science. They operate on a mixture of fear, appeal to authority, and feckless inability to leave emotionally and politically held positions. The official line already admitted that cloth masks do nothing yet many still seem to use them.

It can't hurt to have some real science done to analyze these things though, if it can get published and the authors are not vilified. Here's the problem: I also see purported scientists wearing masks. Outdoors!

Perhaps the only solution for these people is to offer them booster shots.

I would agree they aren't currently interested in actual science. But can we GET them interested by reframing the question from "why aren't we masking" to "what is causing this, and if it was some of our interventions, shouldn't we avoid repeating them?"

My favorite thing to see is bearded men wearing N95s and claiming virtue.

Your comments on droplet priming is very interesting. Given masks do stop droplets (their original design purpose was to stop blood droplets during surgery), then allowing the virus which is not stopped by these types of masks (even N95) to go directly to the lungs could explain a lot. Are masks the worst thing we could be doing? Something like taking the injection.

I do want to be very clear that this is entirely my own theory and that it is only based on my very limited understanding of human immunity.

And your last question is kind of what I want to get to - if it is even PLAUSIBLE that a return to masking will make things worse down the road, not better, even if it has any effect now (and I contend that it will not have an effect), are we just piling up more burden to be burned away in the future at the cost of kids lives.

Obviously masks could be a net-zero contribution here as well (aside from social impacts) and it could all be about viral interference derived absence of pathogens. But until we know, we cannot act.

our bodies are not made to inject all kinds of stange substances in it. I think injections should be limited to absolutely necessary, like dentistry and surgeries. And masks, like you say, should be worn for about the same reason (although the dentist union of Canada had a superb article online before the scam, that stated masks are useless for dentists. It was taken down in summer 20)

A mask lover is unlikely to listen to the pre-pandemic papers and the only two cRCTs that actually tested masking during the pandemic

Could you provide the links to these studies. I’d like to have them as references. Thx😊
